Holistic Health is actually an approach to life.
“Rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the body, this ancient approach to health considers the whole person and how he or she interacts with his or her environment. It emphasizes the connection of mind, body, and spirit. The goal is to achieve maximum well-being, where everything is functioning at the highest possible levels. With Holistic Health, people accept responsibility for their own level of well-being, and everyday choices are used to take charge of one’s own health.”
– Suzan Walter, MBA
Holistic Nutrition uses various combinations of food and nutrients to help individuals achieve optimal mental, physical, and emotional health. It can be used as a preventative health approach for the average person without ailments, or as a modality for symptom management for people living with chronic illness or other medical conditions. Creating a healthy relationship with food is probably the most important strategy we can start with.
Nutritionists can provide a basic education along with helpful strategies to implement healthy changes in your day-to-day life. We combine a fundamental understanding of nutrition with the latest evidence, and major dietary theories, to provide targeted information in a simplified way. Together, we can find sustainable ways for you to become the healthiest version of yourself.
- No fad diets, no periods of starving and no unnecessary supplements.
- Just real food combined with the nutrition education you need for long term results.
- Breaking free from the misconceptions of your modern-day medical system.
Are you tired of going to your family doctor and being told nothing is wrong, but yet you still don’t feel well? Test results keep coming back normal, yet you know something is wrong? Finally, you are sent off to a specialist, but feel you are getting dissected – every problem gets a different specialist? Soon you have a list of doctors, all treating your ailments as different and separate problems, generally with a pill attached to each one.
As Nutritionists, we are trained to treat your body as one cohesive unit, and we help to put the pieces together for you. We offer education and strategies to apply the information in your daily life.

If you’ve experienced gas, bloating, abdominal pain, acid reflux, diarrhea, constipation (or a mix of both), it’s time to learn your triggers and get control of your symptoms. Gut health is also related to a host of other conditions such as allergies, anxiety, acne, autoimmune disease, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, women’s hormonal health, weight imbalance and more.
What to Expect
My approach to nutrition is simple, practical and compassionate; treating the whole person, not simply a set of symptoms. I aim to meet my clients where they are and help them make small changes that feel good for them. With a passion for helping people discover the power of food and its ability to heal the body, I take into account your lifestyle and biochemical individuality to formulate optimal eating habits just for you.
I have seen time and time again that small, gentle shifts can make a significant difference, and I provide tangible tools to help you with any transition. I do my best to provide balanced, well-rounded information and pride myself in offering conscious and sound advice that is realistic. I do not promote one specific diet, or believe in extreme fad diets. I strive to create an open, safe space (online or in-person) that is free of judgement and shame, as food can be a sensitive subject for many.

The first step is to listen, ask questions and learn more about you. I take time to speak with all potential clients prior to working together. I listen to your story and health goals to ensure my program is a good fit for you to achieve the results you want.
The intake process is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle to create a solid foundation, ask questions to clarify the health issues you face, or understand the purpose of your visit.
Your initial consultation begins with a comprehensive assessment of your current diet and lifestyle, with a review of the intake forms and questionnaires. This is followed with questions so I can understand your health goals, concerns, food preferences, schedule and expectations.
When you leave, you will have suitable first steps and simple changes that you feel comfortable with. They can include dietary changes, supplements or small lifestyle changes that will help create a positive environment for further changes moving forward.
Changing your eating habits is a process. This session is designed to discuss any challenges or new issues, reassess your goals and fine tune your plan to keep you on an optimal track.
Follow-up sessions provide continued support and may be used for in-office appointments, grocery shop tours, or in-home cooking sessions.
Follow-up sessions may be booked on an as-needed basis.
Customized meal plans are a great option to help plan healthy meals for yourself and your family. A meal plan can ensure you are receiving adequate nutrition with any dietary preferences or requirements. Meal plans can also serve as inspiration and as a general meal guide.
